Clearpoint Computer Services strongly recommends installing Service Pack 2 (SP2) on computers running Microsoft Windows XP. Service Pack 2 (SP2) contains a substantial collection of fixes and security enhancements.

While installing Windows XP Service Pack 2 is a significant step toward the protection of your computer, you should consider addtional protection in the forms of anti-virus protection software, spyware and adware protection software.

XP Wireless Networking
For Windows XP users about to install wireless networking, we recommend that you first check to see if Service Pack 2 is iinstalled. If not, you may choose to install it yourself or to call us to install it for you.
How to Check to See if Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed:
For computers that are running Microsoft Windows XP:
1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon, and then select "Properties"
2. Under the "System" heading, it should display:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home or Professional Edition
Version
Service Pack 1 or 2 (if no service pack is installed, then nothing will be displayed after Version)
