When
I call Clearpoint Computer Services what can
I expect?
-
Your call will be answered by a customer service representative
during our operating hours.
During "after-hours", please leave a voice mail message, and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Our hours are posted with our contact information.
- After you describe what you need, we’ll
ask a few questions and then schedule an
appointment at your location and at your
convenience. We have
day, evening and weekend hours. (We intentionally
schedule periodic “holes” in our schedule
so we can handle emergencies on short notice.)
- A majority of appointments are scheduled
within 24 hours of your call.
- At your appointment, our technician
will first review your problem or
project, walk
you through the steps to be performed and
answer any questions
you have before starting the work.
Does
Clearpoint Computer Services maintain
a store-front location?
No. Our business is to come to you. We
do find some situations where it is more cost
effective
to bring a computer back to our service shop
for repair.
In such cases, we do pickup, repair, delivery
and setup.
Why does Clearpoint Computer Services
stress
Customer Service?
The obvious thing about “customer service” is
that it has two words, “customer” and “service”.
But unbelievably, this is not obvious to some service
companies that make you wait, make you feel awkward
for not being a rocket scientist, or hide behind
their “policies” when dealing with unusual
or inconvenient situations. “Customer” means
that you are the focus, not us. This means we have
live customer service representatives answer the
phone, we do not employ geeky computer lingo to dazzle
and confuse, and we strive to follow through on every
expectation or promise we make. “Service” means
helping you with or doing something you need
done. Service is responsive and professional. The
people
who are best at it are those who have been
trained in it and who want to it. We are trained
in customer
service and are driven to do it well.
Why the interest in helping non-profit organizations?
We have a deep respect for non-profit organizations,
such as churches, schools, and civic organizations,
because their purpose is to improve our communities.
Also, many who work at these organizations
often do so at some sacrifice of time and money.
Non-profits
rarely have professional IT staff, but are
still beset with the same computer issues as
home users
and businesses. A large percentage of non-profits
are financially constrained, thus, Clearpoint
Computer Services is pleased to help by discounting
our rates.
The founders of Clearpoint Computer Services
have logged many hours as volunteers, committee
members, and board members of a number of local
non-profits over the years.
(see our non-profit page for more details).
Computers are complex and the number
of ways they are used is seemingly infinite. What if
Clearpoint Computer Systems encounters something
it has no experience
with?
- We have a lot of experience, but
occasionally even we run across
something we have not seen before.
In these cases, we do not charge
the home user for the portion of
time we research solutions because
we consider the customer is paying
for expert services.
- Business environments are typically
more complex than home setups. When
asked to quote
a project, we are forthright and
inform the business of our
direct experience with the technologies
and products involved in the project.
- You are not our guinea pig! We
do not experiment on customers.
When we recommend a product, it is
because we have actually physically
tested
and evaluated
it ourselves first, we do not simply
rely on internet reviews.
