Clearpoint Computer Services was founded
because two veteran computer professionals set out
on a mission: “Make living with computers easier.”
Too many people today live with annoying computer problems. Life has enough frustrations without having to put up with screen freezes, pop-up messages that won't go away and computers that are so bogged down with junk that they perform miserably or barely run at all. There's also no reason to live with only one "internet computer" per household when wireless networking products are so inexpensive.
Clearpoint Computer Services has driven down the cost of computer service so more homes and offices can afford to pick up the phone and ask for help.
After years of helping friends sort out computer issues on evenings and weekends, Steve
Gross and Leif Uptegrove decided to make their
computer knowledge and customer service
skills available to home users, businesses and
non-profit organizations
full-time. Using a systematic step-by-step process, Clearpoint Computer Services fixes problems, restores lost performance and protects computers
against security threats. We also stay up with emerging technologies to help with changes and additions
to your computing setup, such as wireless networking, backup
strategies and hardware upgrades.
Leif Uptegrove , President

Leif Uptegrove has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the high technology networking and computer industries. Much of his career has been spent in product development, product quality, and product support positions at companies such as Amnet, GTE Telenet, BBN, Cascade Communications and Sycamore Networks. At Sycamore Networks, he formed its product quality organization (SQA) and was Vice President and General Manager of the Transport Business Unit. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science from Messiah College and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Boston University.

Stephen Gross started his IT career with Digital Equipment Corporation as a Field Service Engineer in 1982. Since then, he has responded to thousands of customer service calls and has worked on countless IT projects as both a systems and network administrator.
He has an Associates Degree in Computer Maintenance Technology and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of Clark University’s Computer Career Institute and a certified Novell CNE.
